Farrell AC cost guide

Ventilation & airflow work: what should you budget?

An exhaust run, a duct repair and a whole-home ventilation system solve different problems. We identify the airflow path and quote the work your home actually needs.

What are you paying for?

Defined exhaust or duct project

Written estimate

Tell us the room, equipment and airflow concern so we can define the correct scope.

Read the scope before comparing prices.

What the work covers

  • The specified duct, exhaust or airflow work in the written scope.
  • Materials, terminations and labor expressly listed.

What may be separate

  • Whole-home duct replacement or a dedicated fresh-air system unless specified.
  • Roof work, electrical changes, permits and finish restoration unless included.
  • Unrelated gas-vent or appliance repairs.

What changes the price?

  • Length, size and type of the airflow path.
  • Attic, wall and roof access.
  • Required controls, fans, terminations and restoration.

Behind the planning guidance

How we checked the prices.

Ten completed search candidates were inspected. Seven concerned kitchen, dryer or gas exhaust and mixed duct work; three were unrelated AC repairs. None established a whole-home fresh-air or ERV installation. We do not combine those different jobs into a supposed fresh-air-system price range.

This is a selected scope review, not a statistical average. We do not publish customer details. A historical discount or an older price is not a current promotion.

Questions worth asking.

Is duct repair the same as adding fresh-air ventilation?

No. Repairing an existing supply or return path is different from designing a system that brings in outside air. The equipment, controls and installation requirements need to be stated separately.

What information helps you estimate the work?

Tell us which room or equipment is affected, whether the problem is new, where the existing duct or vent runs, and any access restrictions. We confirm the route and required work before quoting.

Let’s talk about your system.
